Catch Up - Arcadia Library Tonight + Filtered Neighbourhood Co-Design Event With Sustrans!

January LBN Advocates Catch Up + Street Clutter Survey TONIGHT

Hi everyone, Things are looking good for 2020! The 'Our Active Neighbourhood' projects are in full swing and we have updates and events aplenty.

The contributions on the Commonplace website have exceeded 4000 now and we are crunching all this data to make sure we have your priority issues in the area! Thanks for all your input so far, it's really helpful.

We're having a little catch up this evening at Levenshulme Arcadia Library to go over project areas and next steps.  Updates for this one include, our Bike Hangar trials and our future A6 Parklet , a couple of our 'quick wins' As well as the work with Sustrans to help co-design the filtered neighbourhood and the work they've been doing in schools to support re-design with the wider community.

GET INVOLVED

The LBN Advocates meetings are a chance for people to help get involved with spreading the word, help with poster distribution and survey assistance to really drill down on changes possible...the next being a 'street clutter survey'!

Details below and more info here

Filtered Neighbourhood Co-Design Event. 29th of Jan 2020

Next up in the calendar is a big one. We're working with Sustrans to take our ideas, suggestions and issues from Commonplace and events around the community so far and turn them into the basis of the design for our filtered neighbourhood.

The first of these co-design workshops take place from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday the 29th of Jan. We URGE you to come along. You can drop in and out - there will be hot food and drinks and lots of expert support to help understand the design process - NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED, JUST YOUR LOCAL KNOWLEDGE!

We have an Eventbrite page to get an idea fo numbers if you'd like to confirm attendance  here

Catch Up - Arcadia Library - November 26th 2019 - 6pm - 7:30pm

Hello All,

Thanks so much for contributing to the heat map , registering your interest in the bike hangars ( 107 folks so far are keen!) and telling us about your street .

We've had a whopping total of 2830 contributions from you so far. Seriously impressive people!

It's all really helpful and is building up a good strong picture of the need and the wants for the creation of our active neighbourhood. Please keep those ace comments coming in and keep telling more people how they can share their knowledge and get involved.

Talking about getting involved...

November Catch Up - Come Along!

We're hosting a November catch up at Arcadia Library on Tuesday 26th from 6pm til 7:30pm for anyone who wants to find out a bit more about all of the project areas, speak to a couple of people on the project delivery team about future trials , help on the ground as a street advocate or school advocate or provide us with valuable feedback on the developments so far.

Hope to see you at the Library. New ideas and people always welcome!
